Day 1 was amazing. The day's weather started off kinda crappy...
But when we got the RV home, the sun cracked! (a sign?!)
Note the turkeys coming and checking things out!
Reid's perma-grim, hehe!
It took a LONG time to pack up but we made it out around 2:20. The first day's drive was about 4 hours and we made two stops on the way!
First stop was the "famous" Jolly Green Giant sign. Classy photos needed to happen.
The second stop was at Mankato Brewing. The boys had some testers. The location was really cool! Smelled really good :)
The drive is nice, saw a lot of corn and soy. There was a stretch of wind turbines! It was so cool! It was hard to capture on my phone though.
One really cool thing was there was a tiny plane flying really low crop dusting!! He flew really low right in front of us, you could almost see his face. So cool!
We ended the day that Yogi Bear's Jelly Stone Camp in Sioux Falls, South Dakota! Oh yes! It's as amazing as you would think. I honestly was super impressed. The amount of activities and facilities they had and it was super clean and a ton of people there!!!! When I checked in they gave me a big packet of info along with the daily schedule. It was so cute! Activities, and daily yogi bear cartoons and movies and field activities. The people were really nice too. I seriously suggest staying there especially if you have kids.
Set up was fast and easy. We all were really hungry by the time we got there so we got dinner set up and cooked super fast and it was sooooo tasty. We later stayed in for watching a show and I made cookies! It was funny using this tiny oven. One cookie got burnt... oh well!
I slept like a rock, since it was nice a cold inside (since Reid said I could do that, hehe!) and so first day/night was a success.
This morning we got up and got ready, ate some breakfast and talked to the people next to us. I had to walk out and say hi as they pulled down the back of their RV that HAD A MINI GARAGE! They were super nice! With no surprise they were going to Sturgis! They has a beautiful and big RV, so they are serious about it! Haha.
Today we're on the road for about 6 hours and we're headed to The Corn Palace!! Oh yeah!
I'll update soon!
Over and Out!
